Guitar is an Ibanez Destroyer II with DiMarzio Evolution pups and .11 Ernie Ball strings. Recording gear is MBox2 with Pro Tools LE.


I used four Axe-Fx presets:

 

1- Clean with 1/4 note deay (neck pup)

2- Full chords during chorus with very slight delay and scooped out mids.  This preset is my own creation using the Fusion amp model and 2x12 brit cab model.  The tone is kind of a cross between the studio version (Edge uses a Hiwatt I think) and the live version (POD).  I think the POD is too steely and fuzzy in the live version.  I like the tighter sound in the studio version.  Edi used an OD3, which gives a nice tone also.

3- Pitch shifted part.  I am going to refine this.  The live version seems to be pitched up higher than the studio version.  I mixed up 12 with a little up 24.  I also threw in a little bit of shimmer, but not that you can tell.

4- Overdrive ("touch me" part) - this came out the best.  This uses the Super OD overdrive model which is the SD-1.  I think I can combine this preset with #1.  Will check.
