My rack
From top to bottom:
Fractal Audio Axe-FX Ultra
DMC GCX Switcher (not in use)
Korg A2
(not connected)

Update August 2008. I changed the PODxt Pro with one one the coolest pieces of guitar gear there is. The Axe-FX Ultra can do almost everything, and do it well. In August '09 I finally downsized to a 4u rack.

Update December 2006: Some small audioclips (old clips from when I had PODxt Pro).

Update November 2006: I got a new delay, Korg DL8000r, which replaces the Korg Sdd-2000.

This rack thing started innocently. My pedal whammy stopped working, and I didn't want to buy a new WH-4 for NOK2500. So after reading a lot on U2Recording about the IPS33b I really wanted to try one instead. But it was the Korg A2 that started it. I found a great deal and went for it. A few days later I found a Digitech GSP2101 Artist, and then I was on a roll. It surprises me what you can find in Norway if you follow the used ads, as most of this stuff are pretty old. During the last year I've found all these units on either Musikkweb.no or Qxl.no.

Rocktron All Access Midi Floor Controller

This is my latest catch. Up until now I've used an old DMC Ground Control to control my rack. It was really great for the money (NOK1000), but suddenly I found a great deal on the more pro-spec'd All Access. I got it for NOK3000 (retail price in Norway is NOK13000). It's the same controller that Matt Bellamy of Muse uses on stage!

What does it do? It controls all my rack units and gives me the opportunity to make presets that use all my effects, in an easy way. I can turn on/off delay/wah/overdrive whenever I want to, just by pushing a switch on the board. I can control whammy/wah/shimmer mix with my Ernie Ball VP Jr volume pedal. Or the Rocktron HEX expression pedal.
